Learn why internal linking is important for SEO and how connecting relevant website pages improves navigation, user engagement, search engine understanding, and website visibility.
Have you ever gone to a website to read one thing and then ended up looking at a pages? That often happens because of links. We click on something that seems helpful then see another page that looks interesting. Before we know it we are exploring more.
Internal linking means connecting one page on a website to another page on the website. It might seem like a detail but it can make a big difference in how easy a site is to use.
For example if someone is reading a blog post about packing tips they might also be interested in our packers and movers services. A smart link in the blog can send them directly to that information. They don’t have to search for it.
Internal linking is also important for SEO. It helps search engines find pages and see how different pages connect. It also lets us guide visitors to pages that're important to our business.
I don’t believe adding links to boost SEO is a good idea. If a link doesn’t help the reader it’s probably not worth adding. The words we use for the link should be clear. They should tell the reader what they will find after clicking.
For me good internal linking is about making things easier, for people. When a website is well-connected visitors can find what they need faster. Search engines can understand the content better. That’s what matters.
