Why Every Business Needs a Digital Marketer in Coming Future

Why Every Business Needs a Digital Marketer in Coming Future

Discover why every business needs a digital marketer to improve online visibility, attract more customers, increase sales, build brand trust, and achieve long-term business growth.

A client call me last month, fully annoyed mood. He said, “I put 40,000 into ads and got nothing.” So I asked for access to the account and had a look. The ads were all pointing to a landing page that took nine seconds to open. Nine! Who waits that long? I’d have closed it too.

I see this kind of thing all the time, which is exactly why I think every business needs someone handling this properly.

Your Customers Judge You Before You Know They Exist

I’m the same. Before I book a salon or call a repair person, I open Google and read the reviews. Low rating, owner never replied? I’m gone. The owner never finds out. That’s the nasty part: lost customers don’t complain, they just don’t turn up.

Posting Is The Easy Bit

Most owners think marketing equals posting, probably because posting is something you can see yourself doing. But I’ve come across pages with 5,000 followers and zero enquiries. No phone number in the bio, no booking link, nothing saying what to do next. Nice reels, no plan.

There was a small bakery I worked with, same situation. I barely touched their photos. I added prices, a WhatsApp button and a Diwali offer. Orders started picking up in around two weeks. Honestly, I felt a bit silly it was that simple.

What About AI?

I use it every day, for captions, rough drafts, ideas. It saves me time, no doubt. But the clients who lean on it completely end up sounding like everybody else. Same tone, same emojis, same “elevate your brand” lines. People notice, even if they can’t say why.

And it has no idea that customers here respond better to a Bengali caption, or that Puja season can make or break the year. You only learn that by checking the numbers and chatting to real buyers.

Ads Keep Getting Pricier

The same budget buys fewer clicks every year. If nobody’s watching, a badly set up campaign can eat a month’s money in a few days. A marketer checks daily, kills what isn’t working and backs what is. The good ones usually pay for themselves.

The Dull Stuff Builds Trust

Replying to reviews, even the rude ones. Same logo and colours everywhere. Answering messages the same day. Nobody gets excited about it, but it’s what makes a stranger feel safe enough to buy.

Do You Need Someone Full-Time?

Not at first. A freelancer for a few hours a week is enough for a small shop. What matters is that one person is actually responsible. If it’s the owner’s job at midnight, it’ll slip.

Try This Today

Search for your own business on your phone, like a stranger would. Check the timings, the photos, any bad review sitting unanswered. Most owners go quiet after this.

By 2027 that first search will matter even more, so make sure it shows something you’re proud of.
